..::LvL is a level review site with twist. Most review sites like to have a few people play test a
level or mod, then judge and rank it - ..::LvL is different, we like to let you know of a new
custom map, and let you be the judge. This way we think that both the players and the level designer(s)
will be able to get more out the release of a map or mod.

The Beta section of LvL is a self maintained area for mappers. Mappers
can request a unique login which will enable them to list their beta levels for public comment - all
for free. The posted information, download link and your home link are all maintained by you, so you can post new versions
and updates based on the feedback you receive. No more waiting for us to get to the map before you find out it had
some technical problem you could have fixed already.

LvL is maintained by, Tigger-oN and Mandog.
If a review sometimes seem a bit hard on a map its usually because it really needs work to be playable, there are technical problems
which should have been fixed before release or I'm a bigotted arsehole, take your pick.
All credit for making a level but personally, I would rather hear what's wrong with a map I have made than a pat on the back
for making it. We reckon fair criticism will help you to make improvements on the next map, if your not ready for rigorous critique your map
probably should be in the beta section. Fair criticism = does it kick ass?

So you want to have your level/.pk3 listed here? I highly suggest you grab a Beta mapper's login
and release your level as a beta before you submit to ..::LvL as a final release. We will update files with later versions of your
release if you want us to, but it won't be re-reviewed. Once you feel your level is ready for final release it will require a few
things before it can be listed:

A fully compiled <filename>.bsp with no spaces or *funny* characters in the filename.

A <filename>.txt with level type, suggested player count, author information (name and
email as a bare minimum) and any other information that may be required to play the level.
Here is a sample .txt file that can be edited and used.

Any other files that may be required to play the level. ie. textures and .shaders

All contained within a <filename>.zip file. The .pk3, needs to be placed in a .zip for easy d/load, as some
servers/browser mis-read .pk3 as text, and you need the right folder structure within your .pk3 file.

A url to download the <filename>.zip file from, or email it to lvl@ebom.org
(please add 'Q3A map' to the subject somewhere).

If any of the above sounds confusing then your level is not ready to be listed on ..::LvL - sorry.

LvL may not list your level for any of the following reasons:

The level has leaks (bad construction, also means unfinished) and will play like a dog

Produces errors when loading (bad construction, missing files)

The <filename>.zip does not contain all the files need to run the level (missing files)

Author information was not given in the <filename>.txt (missing information)

Unattributed conversions

Anything else that may imply the level is in a unfinished state.

I will try and inform Level/mod authors of rejections unless contact information is missing (or I Just forget) :)

The final build .zip files are stored on the .au mirror and FilePlanet.
The .au mirror is housed by Massive Media in Sydney, Australia. (Thanx guys - you rock!).

You can browse all the files on ..::LvL by using the file list on the left hand side nav bar.

All beta map files and links are the responsibltiy of the individual level authors. We have nothing to
do with these files and I suggest you d/load them at your own risk from the beta section.
If there is a broken link with a beta map then email the level author, they may not know yet.

..::LvL is NOT a level help site, any email request for help will be ignored, sorry. LvL has a beta help/review
section which allows the general public to look over your maps and give you feedback before you release
a map. This could be all the help you need :]

 If you're having edit or mapping problems then I suggest you try one of the following links;

The asp code and SQL table structure that *runs* ..::LvL is not available, I have spent a lot of time
developing it and I'm not too keen to just freely give it away. However, if you were wanting to
buy it, that might be something different all together. I do not mind helping ppl out with smallish asp/sql
