This directory contains the latest version of the Unix distribution
of PARI/GP. This is Pari-2.1.

Versions 1.3xxx and 2.0xxx are in the OLD directory.

For people wanting to use the readline facilities, take also readline-4.1.tgz
if it's not already installed on your system.

hosttype is a shell script which gathers information about your
hardware/architecture. It is not needed to install PARI, only to report
success in (most) usable form for the MACHINES file.
