Installation Instructions

Unpack the distribution using Scott Anguish's excellent
OpenUp application, available on the Third-party Solutions
(http://www.stepwise.com/Software/OpenUp/)
CD that comes with Mac OS X Server. (Expert users will
recognize the distribution as being tarred and gzipped: be
sure to unpack using gnutar, as some of the paths are too
long for standard tar.) This will generate OmniWeb.app.
Copy this to wherever you wish it to reside (we recommend
some place like /Local/Applications/Internet). 

NOTE: this release of OmniWeb includes all its resources;
you no longer need to install the Omni frameworks and
plug-ins separately. You do not need to delete the old
frameworks or plug-ins (and you should not delete them if
you are still using other applications which rely on them).

            OpenStep/Mach users take note

 To run the OpenStep/Mach version of this software, you
 must have OpenStep/Mach 4.2. OmniWeb 3 will not run on
 earlier versions of OpenStep/Mach.
